I've been to a lot of places hiking including the American/Canadian Rocky's.
There have been few that are as sweet as the NC/Tennessee Mountains.
In the Rocky's, vegetation as well as most animals can only live to certain altitudes. Hence the word Tundra.
It has it's beauty, but nothing compares to these American Smokey and Appalachian Mountains.
Here's a few pics.

Today was just a great day.
It was Samantha's first hike.
It was just me, Maggie and Samantha...No metal detectors, No fishing rods...Just us

Ok I am seeing country that has my name on it. Great pictures and a great day it sounds like.
There is such a peace in these hidden places. Its great everyone shares the beauty. You have learned to get off the beaten path my friend.
Hope all is well.

Those pics are the reason I dropped everything and moved to TN last year.... I think those of us who live in the mountains are the luckiest people alive.

:icon_pirat:Been there many times and if I could figure out where to keep my boat and how to get it there.... Nah, It's very pretty but I'll stay where the water is warm and the ladies wear bikinis all year round(or not) and lay about on the deck getting some sun. ;D :icon_pirat:

You can have that boating life! I grew up boating and learned a boat is a hole in the water in which you pour....Money! We ran a 42 Bertram all over. Besides, The girls in TN and NC are much better than those old clams running around down there! j/k
