looks like you are down around 3000'-4500' elevation.....that's where you find the transition of buck horn cactus and juniper plants....nice pictures.......great time of the year to be out in the upper desert.....cool pic's...

Great pictures as all ways.
I was up at the cabin Wednesday and we still have some snow hanging around there.
Then stopped up to see my uncle up in Leadville and he still has some piles but it sure looks like spring is here in Colorado.
The Aspen look ready to pop and day now.
We will have to get together this summer some time and MD.
And you can help us take better pictures. hint hint........

You're right, DanB. Pueblo's about a mile lower than us. You can have that cactus pic little sandcreek. That's cholla cactus. The thorns are barbed and if they get in too deep you have to pull them out with pliers. Those, along with mesquite thorns, are the reasons the good Lord gave us chaps.
