My wife & I & some of the family attended our Daughter's wedding on the beach at Oahu Hawaii, I had not flown since around 1970, so was a little nervous. :P
The bride had a bouquet of Orchids, & the Minister blew a 'Conch shell", it was a very nice wedding, with the sound of the waves, & the trade winds blowing the palm trees.
we also drove around most of the island, seeing sea turtles, whales, exotic birds, (we woke each morning to their sounds).
We snorkeled, swam, rode 'boogie boards', & ate at several nice places, plus took lots & lots of pic's.
I got to visit the Arizona Memorial & the Battleship Missouri where the treaty ending WW2 was signed, it was special to stand where Mcarthur stood, (I marched in his funeral procession) up Pennslyvania Ave in the 1960's.
We also saw a Hawaiian funeral where they took the ashes out past the island called 'Chinamans hat,' (pic of boat with flag), the music was 'hauntingly beautiful'.
It was the (Trip of a lifetime) for a land-lubber from the Heartland. :icon_sunny:

Nice pics, and we wish the best for the young couple. I myself prefer to live in a place where it snows every time you turn around and the frost line is 4 feet deep, and it gets so cold sometimes the door handle snaps off when you try to open your pick-up.

Looks like a wonderful time. I love the bride and groom in sunglasses, all the color, the sweet little bird, and the baby Buddy Hacket with the little guitar thingy. Must have made some great memories, thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks, to each his own, that kind of weather might be 'just a tad cold for me'. ::)

We had a great trip, except for my sunburn, :'(, the little guy has a ukulele, his dad was taking lessons.
We put the bird in a tree & let it dry off.

Thanks, that is a 'big rock', I managed to find two dimes & a badly corroded penny while there, (with no detector)

but one young boy in our party found two $20 bills on our beach near the cottages.
