A few of my favorite places within five miles of where I live...and a recent painting I'm working on...not quite finished. It's 24"X32" watercolor on 300lb paper. I'm going to add a lake to the foreground.

Nice country and I like the painting. Water color is a great medium for those who can master it, and obviously you have a handle on that. I like the sky. Did you use salt to make the stars?

Appreciate the comments RGINN. I just painted around small circles, the white is the paper. Thanks for the kind words Fossis and naturegirl.

I think it's done? I reworked the mountains. Maybe a couple areas need to be tweeked.

Thanks...and you're right , good advice. I've seen that painting so many times in books and publications but when I saw " Starry Night " in person it floored me, it's a jaw dropper.
