Cool pics. Hard to believe you got them. You got better connections than me, as they would have probably incorporated me and my camera into a training scenario when they saw me. But I like the pics.

Thanks...this was more about timing than connections. This is a newer project and they don't have it fenced off yet. It sits in the middle of state land so there isn't much they can do about people seeing it. We were camped within earshot, so we knew there wasn't any training going on at the moment, so we took advantage of that and got some shots.

Hi Granny...they have used the area as we saw quite a bit of brass laying about. Given our countries current situation, I would expect this area to get heavy use in the future. They've spent 90+ years training soldiers there to fight a WWI/II style of war, using the woods and hilly areas to simulate Eastern Europe and the impending Russian invasion which never came. They have completely shifted their focus to desert warfare and I would expect it to stay that way for years to come. This video shows a little bit of the type of training they are doing now.

Cool video thanks for sharing it as well as the pics .... thats something I always wondered ... with out knowing the language what is being sung.... killl the Americans or is he singing for his protection ? :icon_scratch:
