A couple days ago we went on a trip to Uncle John's cider mill in St. John's, Mich. The mill was added to a barn to make it more profitable and was unappealing for pics. But the countryside at the farm, and barn pics on the way there was awesome. Pics of roadside barns and structures were taken while on the fly at 80mph (friend was driving) ::). I manipulated the cloud colors a bit, because it was such a drab dreary cloudy day, also we didn't buy any cider ($ 7.00 a gallon) and that was not even Hard cider :'(. These far away barn shots were taken along old U.S. 127. Enjoy.........NGE

I live in Redford, too dam near Detroit :laughing7:. So it was quite a drive for us. They have over commercialized the farm (JMHO) everything is not affordable there. Only thing we bought was lunch, they have an awesome BBQ roast beef sandwich there, got a snack bag of chips and a glass of cider slurpee style (8 oz.) 6.95 + tx......NGE

Great photos.
Uncle John's is about 20 miles from me as a crow flies.

Same here. I grew up and still live in the area and used to take my kids there quite often but haven't been in a few years.

Grand Ledge here.
Been there many times.

A lot of deer along 27 eh?
As kids we would do tip up town in Jan or lake st. Helen in summers. I remember 27 vividly. The old stucky's was a hot spot!

Now was that 6.95 for the sandwich, chips, and 8 oz. cider combined, or just the cider? If just the cider, this is a business opportunity, cause we can go to Walmart and buy a gallon jug of apple juice for a buck fifty, then turned around and sell it at $7 for 8 oz.'s. I'll do the math on that later. Just like up here; everything is greatly overpriced, but I guess they figure you pay for the 'ambience' of the place. Nice pics and nice trip through the country though.
