Thank you, thank you. I'm not a professional photographer. Although I did go take some pics for some folks at a church thing a couple of weeks ago. They saw pics I posted on Facebook and wanted me to take some pics for them. I felt kinda bad, cause there was an actual professional photographer there and they preferred me over her. I don't think she was hired; I think she just showed up. Afterwards, I just gave them the chip and said develop what you want, and they paid me 40 bucks. I took about 300 pics. They will probably develop about 295 of them. I thought out of all those I had two that were really good. Just by teaching myself, I have learned that #1 get a good camera, #2 pay attention to composition, #3 pray that the light is right, and it's pretty hard to take a bad picture. And if you think one shot is pretty, take about 10 more.
Rginn good pictures.
I can't believe you have some snow already. We are still baking here.
My brother used to be a professional photographer got out of it and has now got back into it big time with the digital. As rough as I am on cameras I need one that if I drop I do not cry for 3 days. Are you shooting with a Nikon? Great pictures as always. Looks as if you could here an Elk bugling up there.
Nikon's a good camera but I'm shooting with a Canon Rebel XS. I disliked digital at first, but it's progressed a lot. Plus, you can shoot about 20 shots of a scene and pick the one you like. It's nice to make adjustments to the color saturation and lots of other things on the camera til it looks good, almost like film.
Yup, RG, that is some beautiful and rugged scenery.
Thankfully it is still warm here. I hope we don't get any snow for quite a while yet. The trees around here are just
starting to turn to their fall colors.
Thanks for sharing some of your mountains with us. I enjoy seeing them as we don't have anything like that around here
Hate the subject matter, but love the photos RGINN.
I swear, we need a Banner for photos so that I can nominate every one of your posts. You need to look into turning your photos into income. There's gotta be a calendar publisher out there who'd jump at the chance to feature your photos.
I have never responded to any of your photo shots until now. I have just looked at them in amazement, Absolutely awesome, makes you feel like your part of the pic.
I have to agree with mountianplayer, you really could do very well selling your photos to the right person. I would look into Hallmark. Those would look great on a card. I would buy one or two.
I don't believe photos should be on the banner. I like to see finds, as they inspire me to go out and spend many wasted hours in the woods, but it's a good time. Anybody can take a picture in about a minute, and you take enough of them, some are bound to turn out good. Why pay money for them, when anybody on here can steal whatever I've posted. (I do have some that I consider better that I won't post, in case I do decide I need a quick way to make beer money!) I appreciate everyone lookin, and I particularly like the photos posted by the rest of the folks all across the world.
