I've seen this before up here where the sun hits those ice crystals and they act like prisms (sorta like a Sun Dog) but this is the best example I've seen where I had the camera. I hoped they would have come out better, but I might have been shooting in the wrong mode. Anyway, hope you get the idea, and I thought it was a spectacular display.

OMG it's so pretty it looks fake. You are so lucky to have captured that on camera and that's exactly why I never leave home without mine. Ya just never know what you might get a photo of. Well done!! :notworthy:

That's how it really looked. Never leave home without the tripod, too. (Well the sun didn't look that way, but that's how the lens captures it.)

First two are over Summit Cove, last one is over at Keystone.
