51 here now & I Still have several inches of Ice
on my Pavement & Driveway.

Just tried Chipping it.

Way too hard

55 here today and 65 by Thursday. Snow is melting away fast

50 here today, But nothing is melting in my yard.
Ice still solid on my Sidewalk
can't chip it
& Yard has close to a foot in it

Almost ran for another 160 Pounds of Rock salt,
But already wasted 310 Pounds this year.

I heard about that today freezing rain & sleet Tues. ? ..... unfortunately winter ain't leaving yet

throw rocksalt down, it starts to turn to slush & Water,
on top.
you step on it leave footprints,
& within 12 hours it freezes solid again,
and another ice storm tops it off.

then you start over with the same results.

Ice is like a Virus this year.
the more antibiotics you feed it
the more it transfoms to fight back
and survive.

Down here too Jeff with the wind we had and low temps. Gotta be worse in your area.

Rock salt Must have been Lying Dormant inside the Ice.

Now that the temps have finally cracked above freezing,
Everywhere I Threw salt it Melted.
