    Some from around the yard

These were taken a few days ago while walking around the yard. Nothing exciting just some summertime color.

That tulip poplar bloom is very nice as are the rest of them. I see you have Brown Thrashers up there too. It's our state bird.
My wife does all the driving, I just hold the steering wheel.

The Brown Thrashers nest in the yard every year. Our state bird is the "Mockingbird".... The "Tulip Poplar" is the state tree for Tennessee, and the Iris is the state cultivated flower.

Oh thank you so much for those! I brought tubs of bulbs, (my moms iris's, amaryliss, crocuses, etc....),to Fla, years back,
they most ALL turned to MUSH, in the humidity down here.
(I hope ya'll do the Martin gourds every year too, no skeeters)
Yesterday is history, tomorow a mystery. All we have is the here and now, it's a special gift. That's why we call it "The Present"

Pity the poor agnostic dyslexic insomniac who lies awake at night wondering if there really is a Dog.

No birdhouses but "skeeters" aren't very bad here...after the chiggers and ticks get through eating the "skeeters" are just starved out I think.

Thanks everyone for the compliments, they are really appreciated. Everyone have a wonderful day.
