I had a friend in Watertown SD who's basement would flood with a REAL long and heavy rain. I told him to put in a sump pump that would activate when there was a build up of water. He said that the walls could easily collapse from the outside pressure soooo he waited for a time and then pumped out a bit every day. Now I see why.

i have to get guttering on my bathroom and front porch to keep mine from doing that. it is going to run out to the side yard, and away from the house by 25 feet good enough for me.
