It was a beautiful sunny Autumn afternoon, so I picked up the camera, gave Benson a whistle and went for a walk. Enjoy a little bit of my life :laughing7:

A white collar pheasant hiding in the weeds on my favorite field

I crept up on this partridge whilst it was feeding

Then Benson saw them and they saw Benson :laughing7:

Starlings gathering, starting to get ready for the big show they put on each year

Very pretty birds, Hammered! We occasionally see a pheasant here in eastern Oklahoma......I think western Oklahoma(in the Panhandle region of the state) has quite a few. I was told pheasants didn't like this part of Oklahoma because of the chiggers(little biting bugs). I guess western Okla. doesn't have chiggers because its too dry out there.
And your partridge birds look similar to our quail.

I bet Benson has fun chasing those things :laughing9: .

Hi naturegirl :hello:, yes this is one of the places where birdwatchers come to see the spectacular, not just starlings, but geese also doing the same thing. We all sit on the sea wall at sundown and see one of natures miracles, I'll try to get some good pics this year
