Jefferson Davis Memorial
While on our way back from Pa this July, we went down through Ohio & Ky trying to find my Great-Grand-Father's burial place in Ky, we crossed the Ohio river three times, also went to Indiana to visit the wife's folks.
We stopped & looked at the Jefferson Davis Memorial, he was origionally from Ky.

My wife doesn't get up that way much, so we 'swung by there' on our way home.

Yes it is, corn fields everywhere from Southern NY to Ky, but they may get a early snow in parts of NE.

Hey Fossis, you were in my neck of the woods when you were in KY. I live about 20 miles from the Jeff Davis monument. Drive by it often. Did you know that you can take an elevator ride to the top? You can see for miles on a clear day. It's a beautiful sight from up there.

Wish I had known, would have looked you up.
We visited the memorial on a weekend, it was closed, we had been to 'Clifty' looking in cemeteries, after we got home & looked in a family history book that i received from my Sister, we drove right past the one we wanted, but i'll be back.
