    A few bird shots today

Not much about at the moment, we're betwixt and between photo wise. Everything is getting ready for winter, but it hasn't arrived yet. Even the starlings have put their show off for a bit . Anyway, I went for a walk with Benson and got a few pics that I hope you all like

These are juvenile male pheasants, I'm trying to get a pic of the old big boy. He is magnificent, bright colours and big spurs, he will also attack anything. I have some friends who have 4 to 6 inch scars from pheasant attacks

How disappointing; you meant shot like with a camera Here I am thinking you're this great hunter knocking off ducks and such and I would see nothing more than a pile of scattered feathers and tonight's dinner being proudly displayed.

Geessh, I have to stop getting suckered by these misleading titles

Nice shots Hammered. Benson should be retrieving those birds. You should be getting charged with Retriever abuse!

Re: A few bird shots today

Pheasants! Probably the only thing coming out of China that I still appreciate. When I was able to get around better and much younger, hunting pheasants was my favorite sport. I and my wife's uncle from Colorado use to meet up at Garden City, Kansas and pheasant hunt all over southern Kansas. He lived in Colorado Springs and Garden City was about half way between our homes. I would bring a friend or two with me and he would reciprocate. One day we got into some quail and me and one of my pals followed the covey down a fence line, knocking down 4 or 5 birds with our #5 magnum 12 guage shells. The Colorado guys asked my uncle what us "Lowlanders " were chasing. LOL Great time, but now Uncle Jim is gone but the fond memories live on. Monty
