    Winter plumage

Just a few shots of a robin and a woodpecker in their winter plumage, they always seem brighter this time of year. Enjoy

    I don't think that's a Robin......I don't know what it is, I've never seen one like that.

Hi Goose, the first 3 shots are of a European Robin (Erithacus rubecula) http://www.garden-birds.co.uk/birds/robin.htm
and the last 2 are of a Great Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) http://www.garden-birds.co.uk/birds/...woodpecker.htm
I know the North American robin is different, but we don't get them over here http://nationalzoo.si.edu/scbi/Migra...American_Robin
