A few more birdies before the bad weather

Hi guys, here are a few shots, some taken in my garden and some on the Common. We have forecasts of sleet and snow soon, so the bird population will change slightly as more of them move south, something that has been a bit late this year. If it does snow I don't think we will get 6' like "Whitebeard" and "RGINN", the last time that happened was in the ice age

The first 2 shots are of a Kestrel flying over the Common. I used a slower shutter speed to try and get a sense of speed. The next 2 shots are of a Long tail tit in my garden. Next up is a Jay that flew over suddenly, didn't have much time there. The last shot is of a Black or Bar tailed Godwhit (not sure which yet) having a rest after being a bit wind blown.

    Take care and happy holidays

Thank you for sharing. I read somewhere once that the UK has as migrating birds of prey than any where else in world. far to many people worry about there mding while out rather than stopping and enjoying the nature. Whistling kites seem to like the sound of gpx. No sure why but also see a couple.

Very nice pix, that first one looks like it could be a Falcon or part of the family of Falcons.
