new puppies

My yellow lab, Xena, had her second litter of pups 2 days before Christmas. She had 10 in her first litter a little over a year ago but only five pups this time. My grandson visits them every day.

Diggin, they're great hunters! If you bird hunt, these dogs won't let you down. Only thing they won't do is point.

Labs are great dogs for sure. Had a Black Lab several years ago, he was a great dog. More recently we had a German Shorthair Pointer. Both were excellent hunting dogs and companions but the Lab was so much more mellow.

That GSP was but he was just awesome to have around.

They are 19 days old now. Eyes are open and they bark, growl and whine. They now stay in a 8x8 tent inside a chainlink pen to get them used to the outdoor environment. They all get one-on-one attention every day to get them attached to humans.
