I didn't realize it when I responded earlier - but bloodied animals (such as shown above) are not in good taste here at TNet - and totally off topic - so -now you have an explanation why your post was deleted. Sorry this wasn't explained sooner.

Marc, I was about 200 feet away from this tree rat (the one with mange) when I saw him. He was alive when I took his pics. I didn't know he had mange I could only see what I thought was unique coloring, part grey squirrel, part fox, part black. It wasn't till I got home and put it on my computer that I saw it was sick. I noted that if I was in a hunting area, that I would have put it out of its misery. Is that not the humane way, because it was in city area, I was not allowed to do this. So I am letting it suffer. I see this as NOT ethical (PETA) or should I say (P.I.T.A.) It was not my intent to show blood on this site, all I saw was redness and abrasions, I actually thought he got into a fight with his missus. Worldtalker pointed out that it had a bad case of the mange. So I am sticking to my guns..I will not be offending anyone anymore with any pics in the "my daily snapshot" anymore. Like I said.next it will be tree huggers calling all posts about people cutting and burning trees, killing weeds, etc., etc.........NGE

Okay this whole misunderstanding is all my fault and I apologize.

After receiving the reported post I removed the thread without looking at all the pics because I couldn't bring myself to see what I thought were gonna be shot squirrels I removed it based on the complaint and now I see it wasn't anything of the sort. LARRY I AM VERY SORRY!! It shouldn't have been removed. Forgive me please.

Hi NGE , don't stop posting mate, your pics are really good and I look forward to seeing them . As far as ethics and such about sick animals, people know how I feel, I would do anything to defend them. Having said that, that animal needed to be put down to stop it's obvious suffering, but, as "posters" we also have to bare in mind the age of some of our viewers and what they see ( I am fully aware they can see worse on other websites, but this is Tnet). I for one would have shot it and ended it's misery, but we have different laws over here. If Peachy made a mistake, it's because she has a good heart. You just have to see what her and her hubby have done re homing a beautiful dog , great people

Man, this has been through many twists and turns but looks like it has arrived at a point where it can be resolved and forgotten. (I hope) Far more important things for us to worry about in the world. I always look forward to nge's pics. Hammered, you really need to get out more, hoss. There are several killer photogs on here, I just lucked out and live in a highly picturegenic and photoesque area with a good camera where point and shoot in the green box mode does the trick. (I apologize for usin the adjective 'killer', as I did not mean it in its literal sense. I should have said, maybe,...'several give you a wedgie photogs..' haha! I'm jokin, ok?)
