    Exchequer, CO

    I eased on out of Bonanza and up the canyon and visited this old town site and cemetery. Noted Colorado author Anne Ellis is buried here. As in most of our old cemeteries, the small children graves almost outnumbered the adult graves. Life was tough in the mountains.
