I was called up by the local police yesterday to come and take some shots of vandalism at my nearest farm, broken bales of hay and straw, that sort of thing. Most disturbing was a nest of Shelduck eggs about 2 days away from hatching all broken and thrown about ( we will have fun when we catch the delinquents). To make myself feel a bit better after seeing the broken nest I went to one of the 200 year old barns and took some shots of swallows flying about inside, I hope you enjoy:thumbsup:

Great shots, especially the one that looks like one swallow caught an insect...

Thanks guys:icon_thumleft:, I don't know why I didn't think about taking pics in a barn before, I always go for the outside shot, but these were easier. Lesson learned:laughing7:

What kind of camera did you did you use to take these pictures ? Very cool puctures. Nice and clear actions shots. What settings did you have on your camera ? Looking to improve my picture taking skills. Thanks for sharing.

Hi fortbybee and thanks, my camera is a canon 7D, the lens used was an 18 to 135mm canon ef, the flash is the canon 430 ex2 and my settings were 1/250 seconds,
f 5.6 and an ISO of 250. Also I used the diffuser on the flash to avoid any harshness.
