My early morning task from our family fishing trip to Quebec this spring.

When I was a boy you couldn't keep me out of the fish cleaning hut when my Dad and Grandpa were cleaning fish.

Now they are both gone, and the youngsters on the trip won't set foot in the hut to help the old uncle clean fish.

I guess when I'm gone they can eat bologna. :laughing7:

I used to go with some friends to Ontario every spring as well - haven't done it now for 10 years or more. Your photos make me miss it again :(.

I still say the absolute best meal I ever ate was freshly caught Walleye, battered and fried in oil over hot coals with potatos and onions on a cold, rainy/snowy day during a shore lunch many years ago on Churchill Lake in Ontario wish some good friends - dessert was a can of peaches.

Good pic. I would have to say that my life would have reached levels I have never known if I needed a separate building to clean fish in. Cool.

We stay at a camp on an island, 18 miles by boat from the dock.
Kipawa lodge has a dozen or so cabins with electric,( 7am to 11pm ), and running water.
Great fishing, pristine lakes and streams and very reasonably priced.
We take our own boats, 10 men went last year, and each share of cabin, food, gas, bait, groceries was under $ 400, for a full week.
kipawa lodge.com if you want to check it out.

Man I killed the wallys last year but moved to tn and no walleye around here. Miss the fight.

But we have some great stripper fishing and some sauger also hold the world record on smallmouth ,,,but would have loved to caught those. Looks like a great time to me.
