Well, How's the great hunter doing? The old griz didn't chase you up the pine tree, did he?

Good idea to put rocks along the bottom edge of the tent, modern stye tepee. :thumbsup:

Yeah buddy I can relate to that. Nice set-up. I probably would have set up a little more in the tree line to block the wind, and I prefer a bigger rain fly, but hey, it looks fine for packerbacker.

Thanks RGINN, that was as safely close I could get to heavy cover (too many mature standing 'widowmakers'..60 ft high deadfall ;)...throw my double lined 12'x12' tarp over the pup tent at night..(keeps the body heat in better too ;)

Hey old digger, hope alls well. :) No bears...Yet! ha! they'll be in dens..takin a 'long nap' soon.

Good call then on location, TJE. I have to consider that here too, due to the gazillions of pine beetle killed trees. Hope your hunt went well!
