last year we had a large groundhog to take up residence in our barn. She was successful in raising 5 young ones, teaching them to stay out of our rifle scope crosshairs. No matter how hard we tried to get rid of them, they always stayed one step ahead. This spring the hole was cleaned out and we thought the groundhog was back for round 2. I set my trail cam up to see what we were dealing with this time. Imagine my surprise when I saw that it wasn't a groundhog this time but a beautiful red fox vixen with 2 pups.

Very cool! We had two adults and three kits on our farm a few years ago. The kits were pretty curious about us and showed little fear. They liked to jump back and forth on the hay bales.

Pretty neat surprise. Just about all the Fox in my surrounding area have been either killed or run off by the Coyote.
