Spot the Baby Bird

Couldn't believe this little guy (2 inches long at the most) caught my eye 3 feet away..as I'm cooking at my fire pit last night before dark! Then momma kept bringing it food/little bugs while I'm a few feet away.

What a sweet little thing...do you know what he is? I hope he/she makes it OK...always worry about them when they're off so young. I saw one today but was older & flying..so no prob. So glad you didn't step on it...and could almost smell that BBQ!

True old digger, nature checks 'all the boxes'...is everything from beautiful right down to sad...but life perseveres (if we humans don't screw it all up beforehand!)..

Hey CK, not familiar with this bird (momma had black,white & yellow 'flecks' all over? Actually seen the little guy again (about 40 ft. from the night before!...think he may make it!) ...Cook out was excellent! Deer steak, fresh Lake trout, tatters & veggies.
