More Swallowtails...Butterfly battle..Monarch's...and more....

...finally got 4 in one picture, actually 2 photos...not so easy.

FSCN3078.JPG FSCN3077.JPG FSCN2719.JPG ...this last picture

is just odd because of the angle the butterfly is at...seems weird?

Funny happening...a "new" fresh looking Swallowtail showed up and seemed to challenge a more ragged looking one. Then they took off and had what looked like an air war...surprised me so took some pictures of it.

RSCN4473.JPG FSCN4459.JPG RSCN4470.JPG

Here's one of the old "warriors"... FSCN4465.JPG

Saw these two Monarch's & looks like they're in :love3:....;)

FSCN3756.JPG FSCN3757.JPG ..this guy was watching form the sidelines, like me.

Will add these...a giant moth I found on a tree and a blurry shot of a butter/moth that I hardly ever see, so will add it to.

FSCN4847.JPG FSCN4176.JPG FSCN3405.JPG ...this last type

of butterfly is what has been at the flowers most lately...whew...done! lol

Nice swallow tails, really nice you got FOUR:icon_thumleft: I used to get monarch eggs from milk weed and go through the cycle of watching them hatch to a butterfly, the gold on the chrysalis was
quite awesome to say the least.

GOD Bless

Hey old digger...was wondering what that butterfly was so looked it up...it's a "Mourning Cloak", they say it's maybe the longest living of the butterflies...10-11 months. I don't see them to often, think they're Montana's butterfly?
