yeah it's a nice island. Talked to a couple MD'er guys who found $5-10K rings in old location on island where the rich hangout.
Billy Joel had a house on this island. A carpenter told me the huge round 8 foot picture window in his house was $50k all by itself. Must be nice!

You got the same view as Billy Joel did through his fifty thousand dollar window. I'd say your doing alright with out the glass in front of ya. Looks like a beautiful place to be. I'd say you got it very nice from were your standing.

Nice shots, but in all honesty the Ocean7 copyright is far
too large. Same data much smaller is equally effective.

FWIW, in the US you automatically hold copyright on
all of your original work, no matter if marked as copyrighted,
or not.

Nice shots, Ocean, glad to see another striper addict here. I chase them hard every fall on Martha's Vinyard where there are similar sunrises and sets. Get any big ones this summer?? Do you fish bait with sand spikes and MD the beach while waiting for a hit??

nah stripers are a spring/fall deal for me. Fish and MD? *L* nope, it's either one or the other. I take both rather seriously when the spirit moved me on vacation. I used to fish daybreak into night fall for stripers but these days i take a more relaxed view of things. :)

yeah I know and even that doesn't stop people but if I see one of my photos used somewhere important like a magazine or photography contest etc. then there is no doubt about the plagiarism
and infringement on the copyright. We have to take into account those with bad eyes! LOL

I do understand how you feel, as I've got several images
that I've sold numerous prints of.

Truth is though that the legal copyright is *implied*, meaning
if you have the original artwork including EXIF data, then you
can easily make your case in a court of law. There's technically
no need to place our © on the image itself.

Did this for illustrative purposes only, but if someone wants to
use one of your pics the © mark on it means very little. Removing
your mark took me less than a minute per pic.

If someone does steal one of your pics, then a "Cease and
Desist" letter can sure get their attention. Had an environmentalist
site heist one of my landscape shots, and I gave them the choice of
paying me a royalty to use it, or take it down. It was gone from their
site before the day was over.

yep and I know how you did that - as I said 'doesn't stop people'.
But for now I will continue to copyright. Thanks for the info - good to know. :)
