I lived between Waco and McGregor, Texas before moving up here. Behind the house and on the east side of the yard were some trees. I've heard the hooters many times; sounds kinda peaceful. Also heard wolves/coyotes a lot also. I've heard these sounds here in Idaho a few times, but they were so commonplace where I lived in Texas, at times you hardly noticed the sounds.

The owls sure go at it here in the morning. I've seen some of the one's that hang around when they just left the nest. They sure were goofy looking little guys then. The coyote howl allover here at night. No wolfs around here. That be cool listing to those in the twilight hours.

Only the rooster starts when the sun is showing first light. These guys call it quits at first light.

This is about all I could do with these pic's. It was low light and they came out very dark and pixelated, so I gave it a spot light effective and sepia tone and darkened it for just the silhouette of this Great Horned Owl in action doing his hooting thing. I could hear two or three others calling back at this one in the distance.

Yeah, but they'll turn on you and end up on top of your house.
