After my trip in Utah, I went to the town of Egner in eastern Colorado to see some folks. Later I head home to the front range zig-zagging through central Colorado over the passes to get home. The first are shots out in western Colorado and you can see the La Sal mountains to the north east over by Moab Ut, and below is the valley of the Dolores river. West of the town of Norwood Colorado I see this bald Eagle in a tree. Every time I see a bald eagle in a tree they take off when I get out of the truck. This time I stayed in the truck rolled the window down and took the picture. That dang branch is in the way of his face and I wanted to get out of the truck for a better shot, but knew like always being their so camera shy and say adiós amigos, when they see you out of your vehicle. The last picture is the frosty pines in the setting sun on the very top of Monarch pass. No snow storms going home this trip and for that I'm grateful.

Beautiful pics. I got to see 2 mature Bald Eagles tonight on my way to walk the dogs. They were sitting on the same branch of a sycamore tree hanging out over the river. Was an awe inspiring sight!

Great pics Grant!

Not sure if I can, but I'll have a go at removing that
stick from in front of the eagles face.

That be good. I've never played with any of that photo shop stuff. You can see a portion of his eye when super sized, so you should I think have his eye in the correct place. One day I'd like to get involved with photo shop. I have some old family photo's I'd like to doctor up some day. I really want to learn to colorize old pictures someday, but first I better get a better camera and quit being such a simpleton.

I've seen them several times perched out over the river paired up,one day going over the bridge looking down on the river two were flying together.

I don't use Photoshop, rather Photoshop Lightroom. I can
only update to V 3.6 as the newer versions won't work with
my ancient XP..:BangHead:

Lightroom is very intuitive, and can do most anything you need
in order to process a pic. Add in Photoshop Elements and you
have all you'll ever need.

Processing pics is as much art as it is science, IMO.

Certainly not "good", but did my best without sinking a couple
hours into it:

That was fast. No more branch... 'Good Job'. These Eagles just don't like it when you move around them for very long before they take off, so I settled for what what I could do, plus I didn't have much of a shoulder on the road to pull off on and someone honked at me when they drove by. Not a very safe stunt to be doing on the road. Someday I'd like to get in to that art off photo enhancement you speak of. It seems it would involve some time and experience though.
