You have some very pretty little birds! My favorite is the one (quail?) with the patchwork quilt coat. A coat of many colors, I guess.

Cool Pictures! I used to raise exotic pheasants and always wanted to get a pair of those Gamble's Quail. They are quite beautiful, isn't it amazing the different colors that many birds have.

:cat: and Thanks old digger. How neat you raised some of the "Gamble" (guess I misspelled it) quail. They're so skiddish...were yours? Or do they get "tamed"? Yes, amazing thing about the colors, lucky guys....poor'ol gals all drab & all. Hope you're doing well ! :)

old digger....:-[ whoops! Sorry about that, I blame "sleepy eyes & brain". lol I remember you said you raised "pheasants", beautiful birds....were they caged or running around? Pictures? The quail might be a little "hyper" to raise maybe.

Pretty birds!!
I love the wildlife!
When I first moved here, we still had a few bald eagles... last time I saw one was about 3 yrs ago...
so much building going on everywhere, it is harder and harder to get good wildlife pics.
sometimes I see quail runnin' around along the roadside, and I always wonder where the owner is... I wish he'd keep his birds in safety!
