I understand this will be short lived for anymore sunny days. Another storm is due in by tonight. I drove from Ouray yesterday afternoon and the roads weren't even wet the whole way to Denver and that was a big difference from the drive over that way. The miners I see had to stay at the mine because of an avalanche cutting the mine road off from town. I took Hwy 50 and it was even dry on Monarch and South Park. There was more slick spots on the side streets down here then on the roads in the mountains. CDOT is really laying down that mag-chloride heavy this year. I got behind a snowplow laying that stuff down and you can sure smell it and get's all over your windshield, but it really works well on keeping the ice from forming.

If that is lucking out, please post a pic when it gets really bad...
Could happen yet, Austin. We get a lot of snow in early spring. Worst blizzard conditions I ever drove in was up on Hoosier Pass last Mother's Day. Had to use Hi and Lo 4 wheel drive and every gear I got in the truck. Luckily nobody went off the cloud side of the mountain but many fender benders and unfortunately one fatality.

That's down at the Frisco Marina, and the lake is about 100 yds. east of where the boats are stored for winter. Second pic is Ten Mile Creek running into Lake Dillon on the west side and third pic is where the Snake runs in on the east side. And of course the lake is frozen solid til about May.
