I can finally see some serious Ground

though I had to buy 150 more pound of rock Salt today.
nights are going into the low 20's & spring is bringing more Ice & Snow .

& what melts in the day normally re freezes at night :(

This is the Old Mining road behind my House where I detected my First coin
in the early 60's a 1919 Wheat.

I May have to detect out here first real sign of spring.

150 lbs. is a lot of salt, Jeff. Are you the de-icer guy for the whole block? haha! Little bit does go a long way.

The ice here is like perma frost . doesn't even feel wet.
almost fell earlier on it, so I decided I was gonna bury it under salt.

plus this way either I will jinx it and we won't get an ice storm friday, or I'll be prepared

Don't get out of those ruts when your driving or you just might be there till June the way mother nature is hanging on to the winter.

Still a solid 1' 1/2 or more in my backyard to melt still.
this is after a few days melting and a couple weeks of compressing since our last big storm.
I was standing on my roof shoveling 5 ft. of snow at one point . It was up to my chin while i was standing on the ridge looking back at a spot I hadn't touched yet.
