This is in my dad's back yard, it is 10+ feet tall and the blooms are very cool in my book.
My dad said take some pictures these blooms might not last long.
A couple others in the back yard.

Actually, it looks like Dad has a whole bunch of them growing together , rather than just one 'tree'.

They are a common sight all over our country, suburbs and countryside alike. They look good anywhere.

Our Flax plants are also awesome , but are a different story.

Very nice pics Oregon Viking, my daughter spent close to a year in New Zealand studying abroad there and she also enjoys photography, we have some of the pics she took of the flowers and plants over there, hanging on our wall in our house.

New Zealand is gorgeous and very unique.
