Thanks to all who experienced my frustration in waiting for my new camera, especially you Don. I promised as soon as I could I would post. I tried what I wanted the camera for first. The zoom is absolutely amazing. The macro, wow. I wish I would have taken a picture of how far that tree is away with the pine cones. I have always admired the size of them, fro a distance ;). The flag, I was probably Below and 250 feet away? ( I'm not good with distance :P) The flowers the camera was about an inch away? OK first day at "work" with my new friend. ;D

Looking mighty dang pretty. I never seen pine cones on a pine tree like that before...awesome. Love those yellow flowers too.

Looking forward to more daily snapshots from ya!

Yah sis I think it's mutual. It is a fun little machine.

River, You should see it, I swear they never fall off, they just get bigger and bigger. I'll get a picture tomarrow of the tree without zoom. It's got to be 300 years old.......oh no, I never thought to detect it ::). Thanks for the idea, I know I can get permission! Hope the roots don't get in the way ;).

Thanks Fossis! I've always enjoyed taking pictures. I now think I have the camera that will do the job. I'm pretty excited.

Re: The Cannon made it

Wow CG...Double Wow! :o

The clarity of the pictures is something else! I've done a lot of closeups of flowers with my 35mm Canon and the pics you took are every bit as good as mine taken on film. Looking forward to many more posts from you ;D

Looks like all the frustration waiting on delivery was worth it!

Have fun ;)

As promised this is how far away that tree was with the pine cones.

Another thing I have noticed is you do not have to go to paint to adjust the size of the picture, you can just post them. Now that I like.
