A good friend of mine retired today and is moving away from the big city to live in Missouri. I made him this farewell trinket from a 1915 Barber Quarter, a hose clamp, some bits of silver wire, chain, and a key chain ring. He really liked it despite its crude construction and we joked that if he really wanted to he could always simply unscrew the clamp and salvage the quarter. He actually really liked it, in part because he'd never seen a Barber Quarter before (believe it or not most people don't know about them). I really like the fact that I gave him his first and that he liked it. Farewell Paul.
