Not all treasure we find is gold and silver. Found these little goodies in our woods about 5 days ago. Most were 1/2 to 1 inch tall when we found them, now most are around 3 " tall and still growing. Them Mountain folk down Tennessee way call them that,along with Hickory Chickens,a mess of Ramps will do mighty fine with them Dry Land Fish I'm here to tell ya.

That damn ash bug has really put a hurt on our mushroom finds here. Millions of our beautiful ash trees have been wiped out. We travel north each may to northern lower michigan and even there the ash are being destroyed. We still find morels near the dead elm and sycamore, but nothing like the ash produced.Spent 3 hrs at a local game preserve yesterday. I found one large ash tree still alive and it produced these. Time to thaw out those steaks. 2016 morels (2).jpg
