Had to get the dogs out this morn, before I head to Denver. It was pretty nice on the way out, but heading back Bella was struggling to keep up in the heat, so we stop at a small spring feed stream for her to cool down some on the way back home. Soon things will be much hotter and dryer and this steam will completely dry up. The birds in the field at least all seem happy enough to sing about this day. I know I'm not looking forward to these hotter days ahead and feel no need to sing about it.

That's a Meadowlark, isn't it? Beautiful birds! Wish we had them here.
You don't have meadow larks in upper Minnesota :icon_scratch: I thought they covered all 50 states and most of Canada. ???

Haven't seen iny in the 15 years we've been here. However, we HAVE seen other species that aren't supposed to be here! :laughing7:

Great pics! The pic of Bella reminds me of our Duke we lost to cancer. He absolutely loved water. It didn't matter if it was a cool running creek or a dirty old mud hole. He would walk out into the middle and just plop down.
