Went down to the historic park here in town and got a few pics of old newspapers on the wall in one house. These date back to the 1880's up through WWII. I sometimes suspect these were more for decoration than insulation, as there's only one layer and no wall paper underneath. Looks like there was a sale goin on at the dry goods over in Denver that I missed. I included the comics at no extra charge.

Ah, LOVE it!! :laughing7:

When we moved here, we were given (had to move it ourselves!) the area's old 1-room school house. It was chock full of wadded up newspaper for insulation. Many areas had sawdust instead of newspaper. Also, cupboard shelves were lined with newspaper. It was all in really rough shape and nothing of real interest, but was great to sift through the old papers and sneak a peek into a time past.
