These are some sights I saw today as I decided to hit the bike path out to a little lake and along the creek near by. This time of the year the morning doves like to flock together and roost in dead trees. Near these doves I saw this hawk was keeping an eye on them. I got to also see a bald eagle in a tree today which is kind of rare sight around here. The lighting and distance of some of these subjects wasn't the best for taking pictures today, but getting out in what nature I have around here was sure nice. Be sure to zoom full screen on that little red spider.

Your snake picture is the first time I've seen a snake with an expression on it's face. Good picture, in fact as usual all of them are good.

Quite Nice Pictures! I really like the pose on the snake. I was sitting outside yesterday relaxing and a Bald Eagle flew right over me in the back yard (the river is just behind my place). I guess it was heading up river to it's perch, to scan the river for it's next meal.

I was sitting on a turned over tree stump watching the frogs and dragonfly's in a little pool by the creek, when I saw the snake slithering within the roots of the same stump I was sitting on. He noticed me and then maneuvered in a position to have a closer look at me out of curiosity and that's when I took the picture of it's observation of what I was. Once it saw me focusing my camera on it, the snake then decided it was best not to hang around anymore and slithered away.

Great photos. That second shot is a tree full of good eating!
I did wonder what shot size from a 12 gauge would work best to take out the most in one shot to get enough for a full belly.

I have the same problem with a lot of things taking off once I point the camera lens toward them. It makes the ones you finally are able to get even more satisfying doesn't it? I am hoping to have some to post once I get back home. Those are outstanding!
