OD, the shot of the goose is outstanding....worthy of bring printed on canvas and hung
properly on a wall in common view. Well done!

The Pileated Woodpecker is a rare creature these days, and they aren't
particularly fond of human company..lol Did find one many years back
    that was rather photogenic.

How in the world did you get that focus on the flying goose? Outstanding.

Due to the high price of ammunition there will be no warning shot.

Thanks. That is quite a compliment. Those woodpeckers really are very skittish!

It's the law of averages. I take so many pics, I am bound to get lucky once in awhile!

A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government.

A student said to his master, "You teach me fighting, but you talk about peace. How do you reconcile the two?"
The master replied, "It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than to be a gardener in a war."

Thanks OV. I use a Canon EOS SL1 body. That day I was using my Sigma 170-500mm lens. I probably use that lens 90-95% of the time when outdoors looking for wildlife.
