That happens here in Colorado from time to time. Best way to get it off the road is drill and blast to pieces.
This rock came down on interstate 70 couple years ago. I'm always cautious this time of year driving the passes, due to the melt of snow during the days and freezing at night. You gets what's called Frost Wedging in the cracks and crevices of the rock knocking them off and on the road.That's what they did, road is open today. Who ever did the shot sure knew what he was doing. Nothing but a bunch of small rocks after the blast.
