Nothing special about either of these pictures, except both were hand held telephoto. I put some bird seed out on the ground, and the squirrel was keeping the Blue Jay away while he filled up on the seed. This is my new camera, and the telephoto was maximum. The Jay is on top of the neighbors house, having a fit about the squirrel.

You should have taken a picture of the Jay with minimum zoom also to show exactly how far away you were. I was just looking at your model camera at Costco a couple days ago. Mine is the ZS40 and I was thinking maybe on getting the ZS50 like yours.

I love the camera. I'll do what you suggest, those jay's sit up there a lot. Now that I said that, they will probably quit doing it.

Blue Jays are near the top of my "Most Beautiful Birds" list, but I sure hate them!
