I saw this Killdeer running in front of the tractor the last two times I mowed, today I happened to look down and see her setting there about 6 inches from the mower deck,so I stopped and took a few..

I walked right up to her before see took off playing wounded,I ran over her nest twice so I put a marker to avoid it,at least they made it.

The other side of the Meadows this Eagle landed to get some soft stuff for the nest,I had my camera in closeup so clairity is not as it should be,this is the closest I have been to an adult yet..about 100 feet,Every time I see them it's like the first time just AWESOME!

I've always wondered why those killdare build their nests in such vulnerable places. You'd think a bull snake, skunk or coon would eat those eggs up like candy.
