They're always great to see. I only see bald eagles on rare occasions around home. There are a couple that frequent a small lake I know of, but the nest is way out in a lone tree out in the middle of a private field. Even if you could walk out to it the eagles nest, they probably wouldn't stick around for you to get close enough for any good pictures. I check the lake they fish at every now and then as they seem to always perch in the same 2 dead cottonwood trees over looking the lake. Once I watched one takeout a coot on the lake. The eagle dove a few times at the coot who kept diving under water and then the eagle timed it just right when the coot came up to the surface and it was all over for that coot.
