When I lived in the Sacramento area I enjoyed going to Calaveras Big Trees park. Once I took this fella who was sent from Cobar Australia to work with us to see the Big Trees and he was simply blown away, as he hardly ever been outside his hometown in the barren wastelands of Australia. I'm sure it was an experience he'd never forget. Those big Redwood and Sequoia Forest are definitely magical places to be in.

Never saw those in person but I can appreciate the scale after visiting Sequoia.
It blows my mind that ONE of those were cut down, never mind thousands.
If my memory serves me correctly, more than a few were 2000 years old.
