I took my puppies out last night around 8PM because that's when it finally cools down enough to go for a walk. I shot these with the phone camera and to the West you can see all the smoke from the fires going on up where RGINN lives. Today it's going to get over 100° and I'm hoping the weather conditions up where the fires are bring a little relief in putting a stop to the flames up in the hills.

Peak 2 fire is pretty much taken care of now. Monsoon season is starting and we got a pretty good rain yesterday. Most of us locals didn't think it was that major of a deal, but it did have potential. Way worse fire in California, but the news maybe made a big deal of it due to the location. I was almost tempted to say the evacuees were forced to return to their main homes in Houston, but this wasn't one of the ritzy neighborhoods, mostly local folks.
