Been doing some major renovations, and now that we've just completed the outside deck the GSD was let out for his first romp around. He's a great colour match to the red cedar and black metal railings.

Good looking companion and a beautiful job on the deck. I plan on putting a wood deck over our concrete back patio someday.

I coated it in a 50/50 mix of black pine tar and linseed oil, a tad smelly for the first few days.Lol

How did you fasten that lumber down, and is it sunny side up??

Used the Camo Fasting System so the screws go in on a 45 degree angle through the side of the deck board into the joist.

Bare deck boards

Thank You

30 minutes of play left his nail marks in the wood-oh well it's not a big thing to have scratches here and there.
Cat got in on the action earlier this spring. Wet cement in the passage way between the new basement and old. She still managed to get her paws into it. Lol

Beautiful dog, and nice deck! My deck is probably twenty years old, and hasn't been repaired since, it needs a lot of work. I am jealous of your nice new one, happy that yours turned out so nice.

That seems to be the lifespan for exposed wood and decks 20-25yrs then the pain of redoing them. Nothing matched so we took off the big deck and found things that were done by weekend warrior type of construction practices.
