I see them regularly thru the winter, but you need to put suet out to have them stick around.

One of my favorite birds. I used to have both white and red breasted where I lived in the Oregon Cascades. Have only seen the red breasted ones at my feeders in Idaho so far.

Good picture of an interesting bird that likes to run down the tree trunk head first instead of running up the trunk.

Great picture, we have them year round it seems, and always on the move picking the bugs off the bark.

Another note, they also like black oil sunflower seeds. Like chickadee's they will also gather them and store in tree cavities for food on cold snowy days. I saw one yesterday flying off several times.
