I went to Art's place. A friend and neighbor. He has three mine shafts on his 4 acres. All are filled and not "photogenic". On his place are two vehicles he believes to be Fords. Anyone confirm? ╦╦Ç

My guess is the yellow one is a 1949 and the green ones a 1940 and both look like Ford panel trucks to me.

Mike and Frank would like those.:laughing7:

How did your Mexican Tomatoes turn out??
They've been harvested and drying. I'm not a partaker but I am told they were simmered in pure alcohol (195 proof) and turned into a sort of candy. ╦╦Ç

Yes it is..... 5 miles east of Murphys, on the side of the mountain (Table Mt. chain). Eight minute drive north of Angels Camp. Can't get more gold belt than AC! ╦╦Ç

I sold a 50' Ford panel to a guy In CO. for scrap price. No engine/tranny, rear end etc. He strapped a rear end under it & loaded it on a trailer. Needs the metal sides/fenders to match up with others being restored. They do have some value. Would cost quite a bit to get me to drive all the way across Kansas both ways. The green one looks late 30's or 40'. Good luck.

Oh boy..double whammy.:laughing7:
From what I understand, the simmering draws out the oils which is then turned into some sort of syrup/candy. ╦╦Ç

Can't help with the years, but both bodies look solid and straight. Must be someone out there who would be happy to take them off his hands for restoration. He might make a few bucks.

I know he wants them out. He has offered them to me. I will certainly check to see if he will let them go! ╦╦Ç

The yellow one is a 48-50 and the green one is a 42-47. There were no civilian trucks made in 43,44 or 45. They are pretty hard to find in the condition the pictures show them to be so there is some money to be made from them. But, they will take a good bit of time and money to bring them back.
