Nice, Ron! we used to see sheep near the mouth of the Grande Ronde years ago. I sure miss that country. Idaho just has TOO much great country...LOL

Thanks Guys, I went with a couple I met through a local photo sharing group. It started out looking promising, but some dark clouds moved in on the way up. We went up the Grand Ronde for a little ways.
The sheep were on the Idaho side a few miles from the mouth of the Grand Ronde. My friend had been seeing a group of larger rams in the same area but we didn't see them that day.

Awesome photos. Do you know what kind of bird that is in the last photo?

Thank You!...It's a Cormorant, and they are voracious fish eaters. I believe from the research I did that it's a juvenile. Most of the others we saw were mostly black.

That's what I thought. They're all over lake Erie. Right after the hurricanes, we had 4 land on the pond. I'm hoping they don't come back!

Yes, but what now? Will they even get their wrists slapped?? They're minors, so it's most likely their folks who will have to cover any fines.

Personally, I think they should make those kids see the other side of things by making them do 1,000 hours of volunteer work having to do with animal rescue! ...Then again, some folks kill just to kill, and ain't nothing ever gonna change them.
