Was going to try to share an album on photobucket, but they have gotten greedy and want more money to be able to share. I had a website, but closed it out after my wife passed on.

Anyway, this is a small fraction of what I used to do for a living. About everyday for about 9 years when I wasn't out looking for unique pieces of wood, I was in my shop making things out of them.

Wood porn!! :tongue3::laughing7:

Would have been great to have access to that kind of wood back when I was getting splinters, but ended up making more normal things. Still have a little bit of the walnut, bird's eye maple and a couple others, but nothing like I used to have.

Beautiful work Ron. ...Have you ever posted any of that on here before? If not, then why??!??!??!?? That's truly impressive! :notworthy:

Those are awesome Ron!
I have two pallets out back of driftwood, but haven't done anything yet with them. I usually sell them to the local taxidermists. If your in the area I will give you a good deal on some of them.

Thanks kcm, The wood is Western Juniper and grows in the high desert of central and eastern Oregon...I have posted pics on here before, but I think it's been a few years.

Thanks OD, I haven't made anything for many years. Was burnt out for a long time, but now starting to think about trying to make something again. Have a few life issues to get through first though.

Again very well done Ron. Do you have any photo examples of the tree before and after? I see some pretty gnarly looking dead stump juniper's in the Colorado Plateau of Colo, Utah & northern Az. I'm wondering what the difference is between and your western Juniper, which appears to only grow in your state and some in California.

That's some of the most beautiful woodwork I have ever seen. Get back into it brother, not many people possess talent like that. It needs to be exploited!!!

Beautiful work. I build a few tables from old barn wood. But I'm not in your league. IMG_1426.JPG
